GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE – LE MANOIR DU COLOMBIER

ARTICLE 1 – PURPOSE AND CAPACITY

These General Conditions of Sale (GCS) define the rights and obligations of the parties in the context of the rental of furnished tourist accommodation operated by Mr. Laurent La Batie , owner of the Manoir du Colombier , located at 134 rue de l'Église – 01260 Chavornay – Arvière-en-Valromey.

As of February 1, 2026 , the Manoir du Colombier includes two independent 4-star gîtes :

  • The Ground Floor Gîte , for 6 people maximum;
  • The Gîte de l'Étage , for 6 people maximum.

Each gîte has its own private Nordic bath and dedicated dining/terrace area .
The garden and swimming pool are shared between the two accommodations from February 1, 2026 .

⚠️ Until January 31, 2026 inclusive, only the ground floor gîte is available for rental, and all of the outdoor spaces (garden, swimming pool, Nordic bath) remain entirely private for tenants of the first gîte.

The gîtes can be rented separately or together , subject to availability.

Any reservation implies unreserved acceptance of these T&Cs.
The customer acknowledges being of legal age (18 years old), the capacity to contract and reserve on his own behalf and that of the beneficiaries.


ARTICLE 2 – PRICE

2.1 Determination of rates

Prices are expressed in euros, VAT not applicable (article 293 B of the CGI).
They are understood to be per gîte , for a maximum of 6 people , and for the duration indicated in the contract.

Included and optional services are specified when booking.
Additional services (additional Nordic bath, breakfast basket, etc.) must be paid for before departure.

2.2 Modification of prices

Rates are subject to change without notice.
Only the price confirmed by Manoir du Colombier at the time of booking is valid.
No discount will be granted on a stay already validated before a possible promotion.

In the event of a change in taxation of more than 2%, the Manor may adjust its rates, except within 30 days prior to arrival.

Any use of the lodgings for professional purposes (filming, shooting, interviews, etc.) must be subject to prior written agreement from the owner.


ARTICLE 3 – RESERVATION AND PAYMENT TERMS

The reservation becomes effective only after full payment of the stay and receipt of a confirmation email .

Accepted payment methods:

  • Bank card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Bank transfer
  • ANCV holiday vouchers (paper or online)

Bank checks are not accepted.
Valid ID may be requested upon arrival.


ARTICLE 4 – CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION OF THE STAY

The cancellation and modification conditions are those specified at the time of booking.
In the event of a joint booking of both gîtes, a partial cancellation (on one gîte only) will be considered as a modification of the booking and will apply the same cancellation conditions.

In case of no-show, the stay is due in full.
Cases of force majeure (natural disaster, administrative ban, pandemic, etc.) will give rise to a postponement or a credit, according to the legal provisions in force.


ARTICLE 5 – DEPOSIT, SUPPLEMENTS AND DETERMINATIONS

5.1 Caution

A bank imprint may be requested as a deposit .
In the event of damage, theft, loss or non-compliance with the equipment provided (Nordic bath, swimming pool, furniture, bedding, etc.), the owner reserves the right to charge the customer's bank card the amount corresponding to the repair or replacement costs, up to a limit of €1,000 .

Beyond this amount , the customer remains fully responsible for any damage caused during their stay and undertakes to pay for all repairs upon presentation of quotes or invoices.

The charge may be taken within 48 hours of departure , after the damage has been noted and proof sent by email.

5.2 Regulation of supplements

Any consumption or service not paid for upon departure will be invoiced.
An invoice can be sent upon request.


ARTICLE 6 – COURSE OF THE STAY

6.1 Arrival and departure

  • Arrival : from 4 p.m.
  • Departure : before 10 a.m.
    Early check-in or late check-out options may be offered subject to availability.

6.2 Common and private areas

  • Before February 1, 2026 : the exteriors (garden, swimming pool, Nordic bath) are entirely private to the ground floor gîte.
  • From February 1, 2026 : the garden and swimming pool become shared spaces between the two gîtes.
    Each accommodation has its own private Nordic bath
    and its dedicated dining/terrace area .

Occupants agree to respect the peace and quiet of the premises, the cleanliness and the serenity of other guests.

6.3 Animals and tobacco

Pets are not allowed.
Smoking is prohibited inside the lodges and in common areas.

6.4 Safety and children

Access to the swimming pool and Nordic bath is the sole responsibility of parents .
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

6.5 Capacity

Each cottage is designed for a maximum of 6 people .
Any excess will result in refusal of access without compensation or reimbursement.


ARTICLE 7 – LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

The client is required to insure the rented premises (holiday civil liability).
The owner declines all responsibility in the event of theft, loss or damage to personal belongings.

The owner cannot be held responsible for any incident occurring in shared areas (garden, swimming pool) in the event of non-compliance with safety instructions or negligent behavior of the occupants.


ARTICLE 8 – ACCEPTANCE OF THE GENERAL CONDITIONS

Validation of the reservation implies total and unreserved acceptance of these T&Cs.
No complaints will be admissible in the event of failure to read these conditions before booking.


ARTICLE 9 – COMPLAINTS

Any complaint relating to the stay must be sent in writing to the owner within a maximum of 7 days after the end of the stay .
After this period, no complaints will be taken into account.


ARTICLE 10 – PERSONAL DATA

The information collected is necessary for managing reservations and is never transmitted to unauthorized third parties.
In accordance with current legislation, the customer has the right to access, rectify and delete data concerning him/her.


ARTICLE 11 – INTERNET CONNECTION

Free Wi-Fi is available.
Any illegal use (downloading, fraud, hacking, etc.) is strictly prohibited and is the sole responsibility of the customer.


ARTICLE 12 – APPLICABLE LAW AND DISPUTES

These T&Cs are governed by French law .
In the event of a dispute, and in the absence of an amicable resolution, the competent jurisdiction will be that of the court of the location of the property .
